Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Overview
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit walkaisa.dev (the “website”) and when you get in touch. The short version: there are no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Data is only processed to deliver the website and to answer your messages.
Controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Walkaisa, Germany, reachable at [email protected].
Hosting and server logs
The website is self-hosted. When you open a page, the server and its reverse proxy automatically process technical data that your browser sends:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Requested page and HTTP status
- Referring page, if your browser sends it
- Browser type, version and operating system (user agent)
This is necessary to deliver the website, keep it stable and protect it against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is kept for up to 90 days and then deleted, unless it is needed to investigate a specific security incident.
Contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, the following data is processed:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The subject you choose and your message
The data is used only to answer your request and, where applicable, to take steps before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or because of a legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Messages are delivered by email through Resend (Resend, Inc., United States), which acts as a processor. Transfers to the United States are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. See Resend's privacy policy.
To prevent spam, the form contains a hidden field that only bots fill in, and the number of messages per IP address is limited. The IP address is held in memory for at most ten minutes for this purpose and is not stored.
Messages are kept for up to two years or until you ask for them to be deleted, whichever comes first. You can also write directly to [email protected].
No cookies, analytics or third-party requests
The website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tools. Fonts are served from this server, and the GitHub activity shown on the page is fetched by the server, so your browser does not connect to Google, GitHub or any other third party while you browse.
Links to external services such as GitHub or Discord open those services directly. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow such a link.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you (Art. 15)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
- have your data erased (Art. 17)
- restrict processing (Art. 18)
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live.
Security
All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Access to messages and server logs is limited to what is necessary to run the website and reply to you. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but reasonable technical and organisational measures are in place.
Changes
This policy is updated when the website or the way it processes data changes. The date at the top always shows the latest revision.
